Government-owned Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) has opened a new JDC Duty Free store at Jeju International Airport (East side).
Spanning 400 sq m, the store soft opened in November ahead of the full grand opening on 1 December.
The perfume zone comprises 26 brands including Chanel, Hermès, Byredo, Diptyque, Gucci, Santa Maria Novella, Bulgari and Acqua di Parma.
EIGHT-BRAND LIQUOR ZONE
Kenny Kim, Management Team Member, JDC said: “The liquor zone has eight brands including Ballantine’s and a number of Korean and foreign cigarettes are available in the store.
“Fashion brands including Tony Burch, Samsonite and Vantilux are also on offer.”
JDC currently operates three stores at Jeju International Airport and two Seaport duty free shops. Overall business across all outlets is ‘getting better’, according to Kim.
Back in July, Kim told TRBusiness that business was tough due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, but was performing ‘okay’ compared to other duty free retailers. He also suggested tourism was growing on the island.
