The Valiram Group has announced the appointment of former DFS Group President of the US Group Julian Levy as its COO, effective January 1 2007.

In a statement, Valiram – which recently outbid DFS for one of the fashionwear contracts at Singapore Changi Airport – said: ‘Julian joins The Valiram Group from DFS, where as President of the U.S. Group, he was responsible for the operations of approximately half the company?s worldwide business. He first joined the DFS Group in the United Kingdom in 1988 and thereafter held a number of key positions within the organization in the UK, Oceania, the Mainland US, Hawaii and Micronesia.’
Ashvin Valiram, Director of The Valiram Group said: ?Julian brings to the company an extraordinary wealth of experience in the international branded retail field accumulated over the past 20-plus years, having worked in a multitude of worldwide markets?.
He added, ?We believe that the addition of world class expertise and management will add significant strength to the company as we move forward with our domestic and international expansion plans within the luxury retail sector?.
