Karl Sutcliffe moves to new DFS Group role as VP Store Operations in Hawaii

Karl Sutcliffe has been appointed Vice President Store Operations Hawaii at DFS Group Limited.

Congratulatory remarks from the industry have been pouring in via LinkedIn after a post referencing the job change emerged this week.

Confirming the appointment, a spokesperson from DFS Group told TRBusiness that Sutcliffe began in his new role on 1 January.

Sutcliffe, a well-liked and respected executive, previously headed the luxury travel retailer’s San Francisco Airport operations as General Manager, a position he assumed in February 2018.

Prior to that he occupied several senior roles with DFS in Asia across (its then) Hong Kong Airport and Singapore Changi Airport operations.

His career also includes a number of years with Aer Rianta International in positions in the Middle East (Oman and Bahrain) and China.
