Kurisu to take Asian reins at Hawaiian Host
By Kevin Rozario |
Confectionery brand Hawaiian Host will appoint Earl Kurisu (main image) as Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific following the retirement, in December, of Tad Teraizumi after 26 years of service.
Teraizumi has been responsible for increasing sales volumes in duty free and travel retail and domestic markets across more than 20 countries including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and India.
“I have had an amazing 26 years working for Hawaiian Host,” says Teraizumi (left). “I am now looking forward to some much needed rest and time with family.”
With more than nine years of experience in sales, Kurisu will be responsible for coordinating and developing sales and marketing activities for Hawaiian Host in Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan). He will work closely with the distributors and brokers in the domestic and DF&TR sectors in markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea and Malaysia, among others.
Previously, Kurisu was International Sales and Marketing Manager for another distribution company in Honolulu and has held several board positions within the Hawaii Food Manufacturers Association.
