Lamy opens second PoS and first travel retail monobrand store in China

Lamy and its local distributor are continuing activity in China despite the still-difficult circumstances.
Germany’s writing instrument manufacturer Lamy and its local distributor Energetic Asia have opened the former’s first monobrand store in China travel retail.
The 40sq m location situated at the Mixc Shopping Mall in Haikou, Hainan island, is Lamy’s second point of sale in China after a debut at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport earlier this year.
Despite the challenging trading environment, Lamy’s latest shop feeds into an ‘ambitious plan’ to strengthen the company’s position and growth within global travel retail and China.
Christoph Klein, Regional Sales Director APAC at C. Josef Lamy GmbH, said: “We are excited to have opened our second PoS in travel retail in China implementing a sophisticated Lamy shop concept especially designed for the Chinese market at one of the most important locations in Haikou, Hainan.
“We are looking forward to continuing our ambitious travel retail roll out plan for Greater China and also globally to further strengthen our premium lifestyle positioning with strong partners at our side.”
As reported, Lamy unveiled its first permanent travel retail concept store at Berlin Brandenburg International ‘Willy Brandt’ Airport last month.
