Lotte Duty Free started in Vietnam in 2017 at Da Nang International Airport.
Lotte Duty Free has thrown open the doors to its latest store today (15 November) in downtown Da Nang, Vietnam.
Located at VVMall in My Khe Beach, a popular tourist spot in Vietnam, the anticipated opening of Lotte Duty Free’s Da Nang Downtown Store joins its other points of sale at Da Nang International Airport, Cam Ranh International Airport and Noi Bai International Airport.
The 2,000sq m Da Nang downtown store houses more than 200 brands – from cosmetics, spirits, jewellery and watches, to fashion and leading Korean labels like Cheong Kwan Jang, Sulwhasoo and The History of Whoo.
Vietnamese domestic products and souvenirs such as pearl, coffee and local food – sought after by international travellers – will also feature.
As Vietnam’s tourism market recovers to pre-Covid levels, South Korean powerhouse travel retailer anticipates yearly sales from the operation in excess of KRW50 billion US$38 million.
To celebrate the opening, Lotte Duty Free is offering premium spa vouchers to customers making a transaction exceeding US$1 at the Da Nang downtown store until December.

The 2,000sq m Da Nang downtown store is Lotte Duty Free’s fourth point of sale in Vietnam and the country’s largest duty free shop.
“Vietnam comes with further potential in tourism and travel retail development,” said Kap Lee, CEO, Lotte Duty Free. “Da Nang downtown store will be a strong foundation for Lotte Duty Free to maintain its leading position in the Southeast Asian market. Lotte Duty Free will continue to expand its business with continued investment and further foreign expansion.”
The latest opening means Lotte Duty Free now operates 20 duty free stores across seven countries.
