Lotte Duty Free Partner ESG Support Programme

2025 marks the third consecutive year that Lotte Duty Free has participated in the initiative.

Lotte Duty Free has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable business practices by signing a new agreement with the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership (KCCP), to launch the 2025 Partner ESG Support Programme.

This marks the third consecutive year the company has participated in the initiative, further strengthening ESG capabilities among its small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) partners.

As the first player in the travel retail industry to join the initiative in 2023, Lotte Duty Free has continued to demonstrate leadership in fostering responsible and sustainable supply chain practices. This year, the company will contribute KRW50m (US$35m) to the Shared Growth Fund, offering tailored ESG indictors, training and consulting based on government guidelines for SMEs.

Ten selected SME partners will receive customised ESG assessments, including online and offline training, and at least two on-site visits. Applications opened on 15 October.

Participating companies demonstrating strong ESG performance will receive a Certificate of ESG Excellence from the Shared Growth Committee. Certified firms will also be eligible for benefits such as preferential loan rates from major banks; priority in KOTRA and KOICA international expansion programmes; and environmental and energy consulting from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology.

Beyond ESG, Lotte Duty Free is supporting SME growth through initiatives such as a KRW50m (US$35m) win-win fund with IBK and Shinhan Bank, recruitment support, paid leave assistance, and free promotional activities via its Myeongdong store, online duty free platform, and social media channels.

Lotte Duty Free CEO Kim Dong-ha commented: “Now in its third year, our ESG support programme continues to lead the way in the duty free sector. We are proud to work alongside our SME partners to build a foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth.”
