The second Lotte Luxe Mall live broadcast will take place on 24 February.

Lotte Duty Free is to hold a second Luxe Mall live broadcast on 24 February 2021 following the success of the inaugural event earlier this month.

According to the retailer, the first live broadcast had a strong impact with products such as Jimmy Choo’s Romy 85 and Romy 60 shoes selling out.

More than 60% of customers purchasing products were from outside Seoul and there was a high demand from customers who were unable to directly visit offline domestic Customs clearance stores.

A Lotte Duty Free Spokesperson said: “On the day of broadcasting, the number of Luxe Mall visitors increased by more than 3.8 times compared to the average.

“After the broadcast, the number of new Luxe Mall members increased by about 21%.”

PRODUCT DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE

In the second live broadcast, which can be accessed via the Luxe Mall homepage, Lotte’s online shop and its Android mobile app, the retailer will offer discounts of up to 52% on 16 Tory Burch and Vivian Westwood items.

Products such as Jimmy Choo’s Romy 85 and Romy 60 shoes sold out during the first Lotte Duty Free Luxe Mall live broadcast earlier this month.

Customers who promote the broadcast on Lotte Duty Free’s official Instagram page and tag a friend in the process, will receive a Mac lipstick before the start of the broadcast.

Meanwhile, Lotte Duty Free Luxe Mall is to add new brands and products on 26 February 2021. New brands such as Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani and Mido will be introduced, along with an additional 13,000 new products from 80 existing brands.

Preparations are also being made for a special Spring exhibition, featuring Marc Jacobs bags and Vivienne Westwood earrings.

Additionally, Lotte Duty Free is planning to expand its COEX stores, Myeongdong headquarters, World Tower and Busan stores, amid the high demand from customers wishing to purchase duty free goods through domestic Customs clearance.

Products sold offline have been cleared for import and have the advantage of being available for collection immediately after purchase.

The number of Luxe Mall visitors increased by more than 3.8 times compared to the average on the day of the first live broadcast.

In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, those wishing to attend Customs clearance sales events must book in advance. Just 20 people are allowed to purchase at any one time and shopping time is limited to 50 minutes. Bookings can be made via the Lotte Duty Free online site and Luxe Mall website.

Products from over 40 brands such as Burberry, Givenchy and Ferragamo, which are popular among Koreans are available for purchase. New brands are added every month. Sales at the expanded Coex store will begin on 2 March.

The Korean powerhouse will continue selling duty-free goods through domestic customs clearance events and its Lotte ON integrated online shopping platform.

Discounts of up to 71% on 5,000 products from 16 brands such as Chloé, Etro, Michael Kors, and Mandarina Duck are available through the Lotte ON platform.

A Lotte Duty Free Spokesperson said: “We are actively using the domestic customs clearance sales system to meet the shopping needs of our customers.”
