Lotte Duty Free and L’Occitane delivered 3,000 hand creams to medical staff at the Seoul Medical Center.
French beauty brand L’Occitane teamed up with Lotte Duty Free last month to deliver sanitising products to a Seoul hospital treating patients with coronavirus (Covid-19).
The ‘One for One’ campaign, held on 22 September, supplied 3,000 hand creams to help protect medical staff at the Seoul Medical Center.
Customers buying L’Occitane products at Lotte Duty Free were offered the chance to donate L’Occitane’s best-selling ‘Shea Butter Hand Cream’ to medical staff.
DONATIONS TARGET MET
A high response to the campaign ensured the target of 3,000 donations was reached early.
L’Occitane is currently donating hand sanitisers and hand creams to medical staff in more than 30 countries around the world in a partnership with the travel retailer.
Lotte Duty Free continues to engage in various philanthropic activities to help the communities it serves.
In the same month, the South Korean travel retail giant used part of the proceeds from a duty free customs clearance sale to pledge 500 t-shirts and tumblers (LDF Heart Protection Kits) to the Korean Nurses Association.
LOTTE MASS CLEARANCE FESTIVAL
Lee Young-jik, a product division head at Lotte Duty Free said: “I hope this donation campaign, which was conducted with the participation of Lotte Duty Free customers, will be a gift of support to medical staff.”
Lotte Duty Free is hosting its largest domestic customs clearance via the ‘Lotte On World’ large-scale online discount festival for Lotte affiliates.

Lotte Duty Free unveiled its largest ever domestic customs clearance sale this month with 2,100 products and a total of 50 famous overseas brands.
The event, which runs from 23 October – 1 November, draws a total of 50 overseas brands and 2,100 products.
In addition, Lotte Duty Free will introduce 800 luxury fashion products, including coats, sweaters, mufflers for the winter season plus bags, shoes, watches, accessories, sunglasses, and electronics.
Famous overseas labels for purchase include the likes of Bottega Veneta, Chloé, Montblanc and Canon at discounts of up to 75%.
An official at Lotte Duty Free said: “The domestic customs clearance event is receiving a lot of support from customers every time. This time, we have prepared a lot to provide better benefits through participation in the group level e-commerce shopping festival.”
