Lotte to host third Luxe Mall broadcast to meet the demand for luxury goods
By Andrew Pentol |
Lotte Duty Free is to hold its third Luxe Mall live broadcast on 18 March 2021 to meet the demand for luxury goods from Korean consumers.
The inaugural live broadcast took place on 4 February 2021 and had a strong impact, with products such as Jimmy Choo’s Romy 85 and Romy 60 shoes selling out. A second Luxe Mall live broadcast was held on 24 February.
More than 60 items from Chloé, Bally, Marc Jacobs and Stuart Weitzman will be for sale in tomorrow’s live broadcast.
Best-selling products at discounts of up to 72% will be available for purchase under the theme ‘Last One Chance’.
The average discount rate will be 68%, giving customers the opportunity to purchase branded wallets, handbags, shoes and other fashion items at accessible prices. Some products will be discounted by up to KRW1.5 million.
NEXT LUXE MALL LIVE BROADCAST IMMINENT
Tomorrow’s broadcast can be viewed on the Luxemall homepage and Android mobile app. The Luxe Mall is an online platform dedicated to selling stock to local non-travelling customers.
During the third Luxe Mall live broadcast, Lotte is planning to use the merits of live broadcasting to communicate with a large number of customers. Each product will be sequentially released four or five times over an hour-long period.
In addition, a customer-participating social networking service event will be held. Those sharing news of the Luxe Mall live broadcast on Lotte Duty Free’s official Instagram page and who tag a friend in the process, stand the chance of winning a gift courtesy of South Korean coffee shop chain Angel-in-us.
A fourth Luxe Mall live broadcast is currently scheduled for 31 March.
Meanwhile, Lotte Duty Free is recruiting for Luxe Mall live show hosts. Anyone with live broadcasting experience or wishing to enter the field is invited to apply.
Applicants must select one Lotte Duty Free beauty or fashion product and provide a three-minute sales demonstration video. Preferred applicants will be notified and invited for a second on-site audition. One candidate will then take charge of a Luxe Mall live broadcast in the future.
Aside the live broadcasts, Lotte Duty Free will continue selling duty-free goods through domestic customs clearance events.
These products are showcased in the Lotte Myeongdong main store, World Tower outlet, Coex store and Busan shop. Products from various luxury brands such as Fendi, Burberry, Etro, Vivienne Westwood and Givenchy are continuously in stock.
Reservations must be made in advance through the Lotte Duty Free or Luxe Mall homepages. Only 20 people are allowed to shop (one companion per car in addition to the driver) at any one time and have 45 minutes to do so. These measures have been implemented to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Lee Sang-Jin, Head of Marketing Department, Lotte Duty Free said: “The response [to the last live broadcast] was particularly good from customers outside Seoul who found it difficult to visit the offline domestic Customs clearance stores. We plan to run various exhibitions in the future.”
