Luxottica Group has opened a permanent Ray-Ban store at Hong Kong International Airport in partnership with Airport Authority Hong Kong.
The 40sqm shop is located in the Departures West Hall and features over 500 sun and optical models. These range from the classic icons to latest collections, with a focus on Asian-fit and Asian-design ranges.
Additionally, the store carries several special collections such as Made in Japan, Titanium, plus exclusive colours available only in Ray-Ban stores and others found only in the Hong Kong airport outlet within the Greater China region.
STRATEGIC AIRPORTS
Alessandro Pozzi, Global Channels Director, Luxottica commented: “Expanding standalone Ray-Ban stores into strategic airport locations is an exciting new opportunity, immersing travellers in a total brand experience from the world’s most famous name in eyewear.”
He added: “It brings us great pleasure to open this Ray-Ban flagship store in Hong Kong in partnership with Airport Authority Hong Kong. Showcasing both sun and optical ranges presents a new proposition and we believe the optical range will work especially well with HKIA’s unique home delivery service.
“The chance to open up the previously untapped prescription lenses market at airports is significant.”
