Mumbai Duty Free’s promotional offering with Blade chopper services at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai – Terminal 2.
Mumbai Duty Free (MDF) recently teamed up with Blade chopper services to offer travellers passing through Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2 the chance to win a helicopter ride worth INR20,000 (around US$251.60).
During the promotional period, which ran from 23 May to 30 June 2022, customers shopping above a ‘defined threshold’ received an entry into the prize draw.
The entry form was filled-in by the customer, capturing basic details, and then placed in raffle box located in-store.
From this, six winners were selected.
All qualifying shoppers also received a perforated voucher, which entitled them to a 15% saving on Blade chopper tickets, could be redeemed on all of the company’s flying sectors within India.
The partnership aimed to tap into the demand for ‘aspirational and prestige services’ among consumers in India, who are becoming more ‘brand conscious’ due to several factors, including a rise in disposable income, according to MDF.
It feeds into the retailer’s strategy to ‘empower’ its customers and to create excitement and drive engagement at every touch point of the journey.
Blade is a technology-powered, global urban air mobility platform that is committed to reducing travel friction by enabling cost-effective air transportation alternatives to some of the most congested ground routes in India.
Customers can book by-the-seat on scheduled flights in Maharashtra and Karnataka or charter its helicopters anywhere.
