Mumbai Duty Free (MDF) is spreading the love this Valentine’s month with an in-store surprise and hint of street-style.

Starting the new year with another Bollywood experience for Mumbai International travellers, MDF partnered with Excel Entertainment for their upcoming movie ‘Gully Boy’, starring Bollywood actors, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

The collaboration was unveiled with the arrival of the movie’s cast at the MDF store. Shoppers had the chance to meet and greet the Bollywood stars, collect autographs and take selfies.

To promote the association, a separate ‘Gully Boy’ themed photo-zone was created in-store. This was inspired by real Gully street-style rugged decor including tin-foiled posters, cut- outs, drums and a boombox and microphone to complete the look.

Gully Boy MDFIn addition, MDF will be running an in-store promotion giving customer the chance to win movie tickets. A few lucky winners will also have the chance to meet the star cast of the movie.

Manishi Sanwal, CEO Flemingo Travel Retail Ltd said: “In addition to a quality duty-free shopping experience, we take great pride in being a part of associations like these that leave an indelible impact on the minds of our customers.

“In-store Bollywood experiences have now become a tradition and differentiating factor at Mumbai Duty Free, one that is both cherished and celebrated by customers and also appreciated and acknowledged among the travel retail industry.”
