Mumbai Duty Free is feeling festive with new Whiskey Festival seasonal offering

The whiskey festival in Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2 will run until December.

Mumbai Duty Free (MDF) has kickstarted its festive celebrations with the launch of its annual Whiskey Festival seasonal offering.

This year, customers can expect deals on MDF’s whisky assortment along with ‘special surprises and gratifications’.

The festival offers MDF shoppers discounts on products, free shopping money, complementary experiences from partner brands and additional cash-back. Select customers will also have the chance to win grand prizes including sponsored international trips for seven couples.

Launched in October at The Mumbai Duty Free arrivals and departures stores in Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2, the festival will continue until December.

The annual whiskey festival comprises a range of premium whiskies including single malts, blended scotch, American whiskies and leading Japanese and Taiwanese whisky.

SUPER-PREMIUM LIQUORS

Offers include deals on customer favourites and best-selling liquor brands such as Johnny Walker, Glenfiddich, Jack Daniel’s, Macallan, Chivas and Glenlivet. Customers can also indulge in MDF’s range of super-premium aged liquors such as Talisker 18yo and Singleton 18yo.

The annual whiskey festival comprises single malts, blended scotch, American whiskies and leading Japanese and Taiwanese whisky.

All customers spending in excess of INR6,000 ($85) at MDF stores during the festival receive a complementary customer rewards envelope containing discount vouchers from premium downtown brands. These offers include discounts worth INR10,000 on flights, hotels and more from Indian online travel company MakeMyTrip (MMT) free Shopping money from Vodafone worth INR750 redeemable at MDF stores, a 15% discount from Trip XOXO on local and international holiday experiences worth INR5000 and a free three month subscription for the ‘All-City Pack’ on the Dineout App by Gourmet Passport worth INR899.

Grand prizes can also be won by select customers. MDF has collaborated with partner brands Trip XOXO and MMT to offer the chance to win international trips. Trip XOXO is offering six couples the chance to win a free four-day trip to Dubai during the Dubai Shopping Festival.

MMT  is offering holiday vouchers worth INR50,000 redeemable on the MMT website and app. To enter the contest, customers must fill in their details and deposit them in a drop box at the MDF store. One winner is selected every week through a raffle draw.

In addition, there are domestic trips to be won. Indian whisky brand Amrut is giving two winners the chance to visit their distillery.

To promote the festival, MDF stores were adorned with tavern and distillery themed décor including whisky barrels, bar setup, cut outs of bar elements, arches, posters and banners and digital and 3D holographic signage.
