WiTR members have the opportunity to gain exclusive insight into the strategy and approach to Changi Airport’s newly opened Terminal 4 on 6 May.

The next Women in Travel Retail (WiTR) meeting will take place at the TFWA Asia Pacific event in Singapore on Monday 7 May. The meeting will begin immediately after the conference in the Asia Pacific bar at 5pm.

As previously announced by TRBusiness, the Travel Retail Awards has teamed up with WiTR in a special initiative to highlight the hard work of Hand in Hand for Haiti, its major charity initiative this year.

All women in the duty free and tax free industry are invited to attend the hour-long networking session and enjoy an exchange of views and experiences.

Meanwhile, on 6 May, members have the opportunity to gain exclusive insight into the strategy and approach to Changi Airport’s newly opened Terminal 4, courtesy of WiTR member and Asia representative Chandra Mahtani, Vice President Commercial Planning at Changi Airport.

Just 30 places are available to WiTR members on a first come, first-served basis. Those wishing to join can still do so for an annual membership of £25.00 ($35).

A WiTR statement, which recalled an ‘exciting six months’ that has seen the launch of its 200-strong membership programme, said: “We have set ourselves the target of raising $15,800 to purchase musical instruments for children at the industry sponsored Lycée Jean- Baptiste Pointe du Sable.

“The benefits of music education are astounding. Studies have consistently exposed the tremendously positive effect music education has on a child’s academic performance, sense of community, self-expression and self-esteem. But for nearly all children across Haiti, formal music education is unattainable.”
