Nuance awards clarification

A recent report related to awards won by Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) and Nuance-Watson (Singapore) at the 12th DFNI Awards for Travel Retail Excellence in Asia/Pacific may have been a little confusing, so we are happy

to clarify this story once again here.

At this recent awards ceremony held at Suntec City Convention Center on the evening of May 12, Nuance-Watson (Singapore) retained its overall award for 'Asia Pacific Travel Retailer of the Year' and Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) received the largest number of distinctions.

Nuance-Watson (Singapore) was named 'Asia/Pacific Travel Retailer of the Year' for the third time running after 2007 and 2008 and once again claimed the award for 'Best Fragrances and Cosmetics Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific'. Following this sixth consecutive win, the retailer says that this firmly establishes it as 'the undefeated beauty retailer in the travel retail industry'.

The award was proudly received by Mr Ken Tse, Managing Director of Nuance-Watson (Singapore), who said: ‘We are very pleased to be recognised by the industry once again for being the best beauty travel retailer in Asia Pacific. It has always been our commitment to offer our customers the best selection in products 'un-gettable' elsewhere at the most attractive pricings. To be able to receive the awards for several years in a row is a great recognition of our efforts.’

On receiving the award for ‘Asia/Pacific Travel Retailer of the Year’, Tse added: ‘The travel retail industry is undergoing great strain because of the economic crisis. We are very surprised to receive this award despite trading during such trying times and up against such strong competitors.’
