Peach device tipped for success as Foreo makes foray into IPL playground
By Luke Barras-hill |
Swedish beauty giant Foreo has announced its entry into the intense pulsed light (IPL) market with the launch of Peach.
Foreo says the device affords salon-quality results for users at home without the need for expensive IPL treatments.
Hyundai Duty Free has already begun listing the item ahead of the summer season and anticipated recovery in travel retail Asia sales.
Gary Leong, Global Travel Retail Director, Foreo said: “Retailers are reading the signs of recovery from consumers and gearing up for the summer season. As Foreo set our strategy and action plan during the Covid-19 crisis earlier this year, there are more retail activations coming this summer to help boost the travel retail market bit by bit.
‘BANKING ON APPEAL’
“We are banking on the Peach to be the hottest device for summer 2020, and we have the numbers to back it up – Peach is officially sold out at Hyundai Duty Free as of 7 May, and we will be restocking soon.”
Leong shared his sentiments on the current crisis and its impact on Foreo and Asia travel retail in an exclusive interview last month.
As indicated then, the company believes the industry is beginning to witness some light at the end of a very dark tunnel and is looking forward to recovering sales in the coming months.
It adds that the hair removal market continues to boom, with increased demand for personal grooming products among frequent flyers.
