Pernod Ricard GTR opens whisky boutiques with Lotte at Changi Airport

Pernod Ricard GTR says the installations will create a dynamic and educational environment.

Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail has partnered with Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Lotte Duty Free (Lotte) to showcase an elevated whisky collection at the travel retailer’s duplex stores at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 departures.

The whisky offering in the Lotte store at Terminal 2 features translucent LED screens, wave and learn pillars and video elements that display the bottles as they are lifted.

“We are delighted to partner with Lotte Duty Free and Changi Airport to bring our exceptional whisky portfolio to life and offer customers a range of luxury gifting options ahead of the Lunar New Year celebrations,” commented Liya Zhang, Vice President of Marketing at Pernod Ricard GTR.

The second of the two stores in T3 is actually the first of its kind at Changi Airport; a cross-category boutique which displays blended and single malt Scotch whiskies.

In commemoration of both its opening and the Lunar New Year, a special offer is available: the sharing of a red packet with every customer purchase of Royal Salute whisky.

“Lotte Duty Free’s towering presence is a new highlight and reflects our commitment to elevating the retail experience at Changi Airport,” added Chandra Mahtani, Head of Airside Concessions, Changi Airport Group.

The store opening aligns with a series of promotions and prizes offered by Lotte in Asia, such as lucky bag savings, and exchange rate compensation promotions.

Both boutiques are offering a special Lunar New Year giveaway throughout January and February to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2024.

Indeed, Lotte is in the midst of an expansion of sorts, with a renewed focus on store openings and duty free assortments, efforts which Jun Young Lee, Head of Strategy & Planning Division at Lotte Duty Free, detailed to TRBusiness earlier this month.
