Prada Beauty unveils its first Lunar New Year inspired pop-up at CDF Sanya

The Prada Beauty Lunar New Year pop-up in Sanya is surrounded by eed semitransparent triangular fins inspired by the Prada triangle logo.

Prada Beauty has unveiled its first Lunar New Year (LNY) themed pop-up, titled Prada New Perspectives, at CDF Sanya International Duty Free Mall in Hainan, China.

Running throughout January, it is the brand’s only pop-up of its type in the world, and the first activation for Prada Beauty at CDF’s duty free mall in the city.

True to its DNA of connecting traditions and modernity, Prada has reinvented the red lantern (a traditional symbol of good fortune) especially for the project.

Furthermore, the 130-square-metre space, which is more than four metres tall, integrates iconic elements of the Prada brand in ‘unexpected’ ways.

Red semitransparent triangular fins, inspired by the Prada triangle logo, surround the peripheral, creating a visual effect of a moving lantern as visitors approach it.

Another eye-catching feature is the black and white checkered flooring, which is synonymous with the Prada brand.

Once inside, visitors are enveloped in ‘an avant-garde and sophisticated olfactory experience’.

“Connecting traditions and modernity has always been in the Prada DNA.

“This is the first ever activation launch for Prada Beauty for LNY in the world.

“We hope Chinese consumers will enjoy themselves to celebrate Lunar New Year with Prada Beauty and to fall in love with this avant-garde and sophisticated brand.

“Also, as the first activation of Prada Beauty at CDF Sanya International Duty Free Mall, we are looking forward to even more collaborations with CDFG to bring unique, immersive fragrance experiences to our consumers.”

The Prada Beauty Lunar New Year activation is the brand’s only pop-up of its type in the world, and its first at CDF Sanya International Duty Free Mall.

The key feature of the Sanya pop-up is the new signature feminine fragrance, Prada Paradoxe, which can be discovered via a touchless scent diffusion experience.

The space is divided into different zones. The Ingredient Zone invites visitors to learn about the ingredients of Prada Paradoxe (neroli bud, Ambrofix for a woody ambergris note, and Serenolide musk).

Via the interactive screen, shoppers can delve into the sensory experiences that the ingredients deliver.

The Photography Zone harnesses an immersive augmented reality (AR) technology, allowing visitors to select various scenes through an AR lens, and virtually try on eye make-up and Prada embellishments.

Shoppers can instantly share images of their new looks via their social media.

An additional Fragrance Experience Zone showcases the full range of Prada fragrances.
