Record demand for TFWA Singapore exhibition space

Tax Free World Association says that requests for stands at the annual TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore are “well over” the same stage last year.
Erik Juul-Mortensen (below), TFWA President, comments: “We are delighted by the demand for space which, at this early stage, is well over the tally of stands at the same time last year.”
In 2013, itself a record year for the event, a total of 253 companies exhibited at TFWA Asia Pacific, making it the biggest event staged by TFWA in the region. Over 2,450 trade visitors, up +13% on the previous year, attended the show.
Online visitor registration for the 2014 event in the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center from 11-15 May, will open to trade visitors in a month’s time on 19 February at www.tfwa.com.
Plans for this year are well advanced. Business proceedings will kick off with a day of conference and workshops on Monday 12 May with “exceptionally high calibre speakers” claims TFWA.The popular One2One pre-arranged meeting service, which operates in a dedicated suite of meeting rooms, will once again be available.
On the networking side, events start with an informal golf tournament on Sunday, sponsored by Inter Parfums, and a welcoming cocktail that evening at the legendary Raffles Hotel. The TFWA Asia Pacific Bar is also a popular venue for informal meetings throughout the show and will be open this year for breakfast as well as after-show cocktails.
A ‘chill-out’ party will take place at Marina Bay Sands Sky Park overlooking the bay on Tuesday 13 while the social highlight will be the Singapore Swing Party on Wednesday 14 at Alkaff Mansion in Telok Blangah Hill Park.
