Rituals Cosmetics has launched its first pop-up store in China at Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex (HTDF) with Lagardére Travel Retail.

Opened last month (October 2022), the store is inspired by the ‘home’, in line with the brand’s vision to ‘elevate everyday life into meaningful moments’.

It takes its cue from how our homes are a haven and a place that we can retreat to, away from the distractions of the outside world.

Located in the Atrium on the first floor of HTDF, the Rituals pop-up aims to provide travellers to Sanya with a welcoming space in which to nourish the body, mind and soul, with its soothing aromas and range of home products available to browse and buy.

“Rituals’ goal is to inspire an emphasis on health and wellbeing that spreads around the globe; this is why we have always been committed to practices rooted in kindness and love, passion and joy,” said Melvin Broekaart, Rituals Global Travel Retail Director.

“It is about creating more meaningful moments for consumers and improving their lives.

“Our message is clearly resonating with consumers around the world, and we are proud to continue our wellbeing expansion mission with our partners at Lagardère Travel Retail by bringing sustainable and luxury wellbeing to Chinese consumers.”

Each fragrance is formulated with “healing body, mind and spirit” as the starting point, drawing inspiration from ancient life philosophies and materials.

Rituals’ Private Collection of luxury home scents are at the heart of the pop-up.

The Private Collection includes three notes – Fresh, Rich and Floral – all utilising high-quality ingredients to fill the home with a pleasant fragrance.

From the fresh Qin Yu goji berry, to the sweet and elegant floral jasmine and to the peaceful and warm aroma of wild figs – consumers can simply select the scent that resonates to transform their home into a retreat and create the desired ambience.
