Royal Salute, which Pernod Ricard claims is the leading 21 year old whisky in travel retail, has launched a new regional Asian airport promotion designed to increase brand visibility among whisky connoisseurs.

The company says that this latest activity from Pernod Ricard Asia Duty Free, builds on the brand's 'Mark of Respect' positioning and its 'Spirit of Nobility' cues to entice travellers across Asia* to enter a competition to experience a luxurious adventure aboard The Orient Express in Thailand this summer.

Every customer who purchases a bottle of Royal Salute 21 Year Old between now and July 31 2009 will receive a limited edition Royal Salute travel bag containing product information and a lucky draw entry form to win the grand prize.

One winner and a travel partner will then have the trip of a lifetime – an exhilarating return journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand aboard Asia's finest train – the Eastern & Oriental Express. Known as 'The Thai Explorer', the four day and three night trip also includes return business-class flights from their home country to Bangkok.
