Swarovski Travel Retail Asia Pacific has partnered with Taiwanese Travel Retailer Tasa Meng to launch its Summer City Buzz pop-up store at Taoyuan International Airport.
The pop-up store, designed in the shape of a bus, officially opened on 1 July 2019. It is part of a series of seasonal pop-ups showcasing Swarovski’s 2019 Summer Collection across Asia Pacific.
Claudia Heskier Schioenning, Vice President, Travel Retail & Global Accounts, Swarovski said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to add sparkle to Taoyuan International Airport with our Summer City Buzz pop-up store and would like to thank Tasa Meng for this fantastic opportunity.”
INAUGURAL POP-UP PARTNERSHIP
Nancy Ku, President, Tasa Meng Corporation, who was the subject of an extensive recent interview with TRBusiness added: “This is the first time we have partnered with Swarovski to launch a pop-up store at Taoyuan International Airport.
“Tasa Meng is delighted to work with a brand like Swarovski whose pop-up will encourage and inspire customers.”
Swarovski says the Summer City Buzz pop-up reflects the brand’s summer collection with pieces that channel the Mediterranean lifestyle. The company also indicates that the pieces take inspiration from the coastal destinations of Portofino, Capri, Mykonos and Naxos.
The design of the store, which includes ‘bold jewellery pieces and accessories’ has been crafted in the shape of a campervan and is complemented by candy-hued pinks, blues and yellows. The space includes motifs of cocktails and gelato to reflect the designs of the summer collection.
In addition, the store alludes to the Ocean Line, part of the 2019 Summer Collection. This features ‘light-hearted’ sea life including bejeweled lobster, crab and seahorse designs.
Swarovski said: “The Ocean View pieces put a more sophisticated spin on the nautical theme with glamorous jewels in gradating ocean and sunset hues. These sparkling pieces shine in the pop-up store where the new collection’s campaign imagery, featuring a group of young women chasing an ice cream truck as they embark on their latest adventure, is reflected.”
Finally, the Summer City Buzz pop-up store includes a photo area where customers can take selfies. Visitors are also invited to take part in a scratch card game for the chance to win a summer-themed gift.
