TFWA reports that registered visitor totals are ‘very encouraging’, with just over a week to go before the start of the TFWA Asia Pacific & GATE ONE2ONE exhibition and conference at the Singapore Suntec (May 15-19) where exhibitor numbers are 20% up.

Pre-registration for the event closed on April 21, with on-site visitor registration in the Suntec Centre set to open at 09:30 on Sunday May 15 for any last-minute registrations. Nearly 2,000 visitors attended the show in Singapore last year.

In a statement, TFWA said: “Awaiting them in the exhibition hall from Tuesday 17th through Thursday 19th May will be the stands of 212 prestigious exhibiting companies – 20% more than last year. Between them these brand-owners offer thousands of products that will delight and excite consumers in the duty free and travel retail outlets across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.

MANY NEW EXHIBITORS
“Of that total number of exhibitors 27% are new to the exhibition, or returning after a year or two gap adding their innovative lines to the displays on offer.

“One of the most popular features of recent shows has been TFWA’s unique ONE2ONE pre-arranged meetings service which puts airport executives in direct contact with exhibiting brands, retailers, airlines and service concessionaires. Meetings are organised in a dedicated suite of private rooms within the exhibition hall.

“To date, 30 airports have confirmed that they will participate in the scheme and over 100 other companies. Last year 280 meetings were facilitated through this service.”

TFWA adds that a busy day of Conference and Workshops also awaits delegates on Monday May 16, with ‘inspiring’ speakers including Christian Blanckaert, President of Petit Bateau, Rohit Talwar, Ceo Fast Future, Sunil Tuli, President APTRA, Ron Kaufman, Author & Founder of Up! Your Service and Erik Juul-Mortensen, President TFWA in the plenary session.
