TFWA Asia Services review
By Administrator |
TFWA has announced that it is to review and reevaluate the way it organises its services to the duty free and travel retail community in the Asia Pacific region.
The association adds that the nature of any changes is being discussed by the TFWA Board and a recommendation will be submitted for discussion at the next TFWA Management Committee meeting which takes place in June in Cannes.
The decision coincides with the departure of Susan Tan, TFWA's Singapore-based Business Development Manager Asia Pacific at the end of this month. Tan has been the association's commercial representative in the Asia Pacific region since May 2004, and has now accepted a new role on the team which will organise the Youth Olympics in Singapore in August 2010.
Erik Juul-Mortensen, President TFWA paid tribute to her contribution: ‘Susan has played an important role in the development of TFWA Asia Pacific & GATE ONE2ONE over the last five years, during which time the event has grown immeasurably in breadth and stature.
‘She has been a vital source of information and advice to countless exhibitors and visitors as well as being a most professional and highly-regarded colleague. On behalf of her colleagues and friends in the industry I wish her well in this next exciting venture.’
