TFWA and the Singapore Tourism Board have got together to help bonafide pre-registered duty free and travel retail buyers with their expenses at this May's TFWA Asia Pacific & GATE ONE2ONE event by offering them

a free night's accommodation.

TFWA says that the decision to offer this additional enticement was reached by the TFWA Management Committee at its meeting this month.

It said that while the Management Committee members acknowledge that the event is a unique opportunity to network and develop business in Asia, the feeling was that some help in these times of budget constraints is appropriate.

The association has already announced special hotel and travel packages which are open to all participants at the show, plus free internet connection for all exhibitors on their stands.

TFWA, with the support of STB are subsidising what it describes as this 'costly programme' of hotel assistance which applies to all duty free and travel retail operators and landlords (Airlines, Airport Authorities and Cruises/Ferries) who have pre-registered for the event. Subsequent nights and all incidental expenses will remain the responsibility of the individuals concerned.

The deadline for this generous offer is April 16, which is also the cut-off date for pre-registration for the event.
