TFWA monitors WHO health advice
By Administrator |
The organisers of the TFWA Asia Pacific & GATE ONE2ONE event says that while it is continuing to monitor the guidance being given by the World Health Organisation (WHO) with regard to influenza A (H1N1)
– previously referred to as swine influenza – the show goes on and the health authorities in Singapore are satisfied that 'it is business as usual'.
As a matter of precaution – and alongside other airports in the region – Singapore Changi Airport has engaged its tried and tested thermal temperature scanning technology to screen all passengers entering the country and only travellers arriving from Mexico will be quarantined for up to seven days as a precaution.
TFWA says that more than 2,300 people have pre-registered to attend the event which will feature 181 exhibitors from all over the world. It also adds that one exhibitor from Mexico has cancelled its participation on the advice of the health authorities.
TFWA says that any participants who would like more information on the situation may contact the TFWA Asia Office: [email protected] or tel. +65 6549 7721.
