The Travel Retail Awards: Branding lands in Changi

Global shoppers have stamped their mark in prominent fashion at Singapore Changi Airport, with bespoke digital screens broadcasting the upcoming arrival of the first and only consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards.

In association with headline sponsor Changi Airport Group (CAG), branded panels bearing the recognisable purple and gold colour set of the Travel Retail Awards have been strategically positioned at arrivals locations across terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 (click below to see one of the screens in action).

Forming part of a two-week campaign, 42 welcome displays in 85-inch digital MUPI format will collectively reach 646,000 passengers per week.

This means 1.29m pax will at some point engage with the Travel Retail Awards over the campaign period, before they enter the city.

Nigel Hardy and Janice Hook, Co-owners, TRBusiness said: “The fact that 100% of the 1.29m passengers will be exposed to the Travel Retail Awards over the two-week campaign is further evidence of the exceptional momentum being generated by this project.

“Not only does the industry believe in this, but consumers will now too. Receiving  support from airport leader Changi will undoubtedly leverage the platform to new heights. Very soon, airports and brands will see that return on investment in travel retail only matters if consumers buy into it in the first place.

There is now a mere 10 days to go before the Travel Retail Awards makes its debut at the Singapore Conrad hotel on Monday 7th May.
