Tokyo Narita Airport co-hosts Japanese sake tasting event series
By Trbusiness Editor |
Tokyo Narita Airport and Japan Shopping Tourism Association are joining forces to host a series of Japanese sake tasting events.
The initiative will take place from 10-15 January, from 9am to 4pm, in the North Wing of Narita Airport Terminal 1.
The tasting series aims to capitalise on the growing popularity of sake outside Japan, linked to the rise of Japanese cuisine. It will showcase around 40 different sake brands across the six days, from all 47 prefectures of Japan.
Tastings will be led by professional sake advisors known as kikizake-shi. Three to six different brands will be highlighted each day.
The initiative will incorporate gift-wrapping workshops featuring traditional Furoshiki cloths. Complimentary sake brochures will also be distributed.
