In 2023, CircleSquare celebrated its 20th anniversary, and said it remains steadfastly committed to its roots as a premier travel retail specialist, and anticipates a new era of dynamic growth and diversification.

CircleSquare has appointed Cherifa Ben Slamia as its new Global CEO, effective 1 April, 2024, noting the appointments as a pivotal milestone for both Ben Slamia and the agency, as it recognised her achievements and leadership during her tenure with CircleSquare.

Ben Slamia, previously served as the Managing Director for CircleSquare’s Asia-Pacific operations, overseeing the company’s offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

She now steps into the role of Global CEO, succeeding Founder and Chairman Christian Renwick, who will remain closely involved in the overall direction of the business, the diversification of its offerings, and new growth opportunities.

Ben Slamia commented on her appointment, noting: “I am honoured to take the reins of CircleSquare’s global business, and I’m brimming with excitement to build upon our proven expertise in retail design, integrated customer experiences, and innovative digital solutions.

As the resurgence of travel retail continues, we are proud to offer a truly end-to-end service, seamlessly blending physical and digital touch-points to deliver unparalleled value for our clients. Simultaneously, we will leverage data-driven insights to strategically expand our presence in more diverse channels, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the ever-evolving retail landscape.”

Renwick praised Ben Slamia’s contributions, stating: “Cherifa knows our agency inside and out, and she brings an unrivalled energy and passion to our business. Her leadership has been instrumental in the remarkable growth of our Asia-Pacific network, and she has been a driving force behind our successful expansion into new markets.

Under her guidance, our Digital Team in Hong Kong has flourished, achieving over 20% growth in less than 18 months, delivering cutting-edge omni-channel platforms for our prestigious luxury beauty clients in the global travel retail space. Cherifa’s credentials are truly outstanding, and there is no one more deserving or better equipped to lead CircleSquare into its next chapter of triumph.”

“As I step into the role of Global CEO at CircleSquare, I am deeply thankful to Christian Renwick our amazing teams around the world for their trust and support, and our valued clients.

Truly excited about the journey ahead and the opportunity to further elevate our expertise in retail design, integrated customer experiences, and innovative digital solutions,” added Ben Slamia.
