Winslet plays support to Longines at the Races

Longines was the Title Sponsor and Timekeeper at the Hong Kong International Races last Sunday.
At the Sha Tin Racecourse a record crowd of 70,000 racing enthusiasts were also treated to an appearance by Longines Ambassadress of Elegance, Kate Winslet, with the British actress making a presentation to the owner, trainer and jockey of California Memory, the winner of the prestigious Longines Hong Kong Cup.
Winslet presented the owner with Longines timepieces after an exciting climax to the horseracing year with this race day alone one of the most prestigious in the international calendar, offering its total prize money of HK$72m.
This year it once again attracted many of the best jockeys and horses from all over the world, with the Longines Hong Kong Cup (2000m) finally won by California Memory under jockey Matthew Chadwick, a product of the Hong Kong Jockey Club apprentice training programme.
All the winning owners, trainers and jockeys from all four major races were presented with Longines timepieces by Kate Winslet and Walter von Känel, President of Longines, Kevin Rollenhagen, Managing Director of The Swatch Group Hong Kong, Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President & Head of International Marketing of Longines and Karen Au Yeung, Vice President of Longines Hong Kong.
Earlier in the day, Kate Winslet inaugurated the Longines Flagship Store at Lockhart Road, cutting the ribbon with Kevin Rollenhagen, Walter von Känel and Karen Au Yeung. For the grand opening of this new Longines Flagship Store in Hong Kong, the VIP guests took part in the eye dotting ceremony to wish the store a great success.
