Wishing on a car…’ at KLIA

To commemorate its first year anniversary celebrations, Flying Emporium, located at the domestic terminal of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), is running a car giveaway contest.
?We are proud to announce that we have partnered with UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd for this contest. The winner will walk away with a Toyota Wish 2.0S?, said Kim Manaf, General Manager of Flying Emporium which is owned by the Valiram Group.
Passengers making a minimum purchase of MR.150 ($42.43) within a 24-hour period at Flying Emporium are being invited to fill out an entry form and answer four questions.
The promotion is open to travellers flying through the domestic terminal only and will run from December 1 (past) until March 31, 2007.
Manaf said: ‘This contest is timely in promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2007. Being the only retailer at the domestic airside carrying a variety of product categories, we aim to create excitement for travelers wanting to shop. Domestic passengers can enjoy products at better prices than downtown, including exclusive travel sets (perfumes & cosmetics) available only at airports.
‘As leaders in retail, Flying Emporium is set to offer passengers a rewarding shopping experience with continuous entertainment as well as exclusive prizes in promotions and contests, which are also highlighted in the many plasma screens located within the emporium. Many of our exciting brands are showcased on these screens as well?, said Kim.
The 20,000sq ft emporium, the first of its kind in south-east Asia, offers a diverse range of product mix under one roof including perfumes, cosmetics, chocolates, confectionery, watches, toys, luggage, books, magazines and more.
?The seamless concept is adopted from the best retail airports in the world. We are adopting the best practicing standards in the travel retail industry as seen in international airports like the London Heathrow Airport, the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Copenhagen Airport in Denmark and the Hong Kong International Airport?, he said.
?Flying Emporium offers a wide array of products for travelers of all ages. We are excited to introduce a new mix of brands into the travel retail scene in KLIA such as SK-II, Jurlique and Mercedes Benz Lifestyle for the convenience of passengers traveling domestically. These brands are exclusively available at Flying Emporium and not at the international terminal of KLIA or any other airports in Malaysia. Travelers have been very receptive towards this shopping concept and it certainly adds buzz?, he added.
