Brown-Forman has launched the Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition in the India, Middle East and North Africa (IMENA) region with Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) at Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3.

A lavish launch event took place at the stunning Le Cirque restaurant in New Delhi on 20 September, which was attended by top socialites and high-net-worth individuals.

The Woodford Reserve Baccarat edition was first unveiled at the 2018 TFWA Cannes Exhibition and is a celebration of the legacies of both brands. Full roll-out started earlier this year.

Available exclusively with DDFS, it is the first launch for the limited offering $1,500 bottle in the IMENA region. The Woodford Reserve Baccarat edition is the world’s finest bourbon, further aged to perfection in hand-selected XO cognac casks at the historic Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky.

Its bottle design is meant to evoke the iconic Woodford Reserve bottle silhouette and is engraved with Woodford Reserve’s and Baccarat’s iconic logos.

Siddharth Wadia, Director IMENA, Brown Forman said: “We are thrilled to introduce the Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition, a new luxury expression of our super-premium bourbon, to the IMENA Region starting with India and Delhi Duty-Free.

The Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition was launched at TFWA Cannes in 2018 and full roll-out has now started.

“Travel Retail in India is growing multi-folds and the Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition beautifully ties together immense history with fine craftsmanship that appeals to the more contemporary audience and evolved whiskey connoisseurs alike that are now exploring the world of complex whiskeys and finer experiences. What’s better than the prestigious Baccarat to house a revered whiskey like this?”

Mark Bacon, Global Brand Director, Woodford Reserve commented: “We are extremely proud to announce the partnership between the world’s finest bourbon and the world’s finest crystal because both represent craftsmanship at the highest level. This partnership elevates the category of American Whiskey in the global market.”
