Zegna and Beijing T3 renovations

ACT (Beijing Capital Airport Commercial & Trading Co., Ltd) reports that it has completed its renovations of the Zegna and Cosmetics Area in Beijing Airport T3.
According to Director Foster Fu, both areas were reopened to passengers in the first ten days of August, with the new Zegna boutique having been expanded from 95 to 180sq m and said to be looking ‘more elegant and attractive’.
Fu said that ‘professional operation by the management and the trained staff will largely increase the penetration rate and image’, and the company expects sales will now double as a result.
Meanwhile, he adds that the Cosmetics Area has also seen all of the old furnishings replaced by high end and new concept wall bays and gondolas. New light box transparencies also aim to catch passenger attention and assist the purchasing process.
Fu said: “We are confident that it will stimulate the passengers to create 30% more turnover.”
According to the latest figures from ACI Asia-Pacific, Beijing Capital International airport handled more than 39.3m passengers in the first half of 2012, ranking as the second-busiest airport in the world after Atlanta.
