ACI-Iceland-2019

Keflavík International Airport is planning to add around 5,000sq m to its main commercial hall.

ACI Europe has announced officially that Icelandic airport operator Isavia will host next year’s Airport Commercial & Retail Conference & Exhibition in Iceland’s capital of Reykjavik, 18-20 March.

More than 400 airports, operators, retailers and brands will gather for a busy social networking programme and two-day working event, which will feature commercial case studies from Europe and around the globe, plus the usual deep-dive discussions into non-aeronautical revenue generation.

Exhibitors confirmed to appear at the event include Aero Parker, Apcoa Parking, HMS Host (Autogrill), Bag Wrap/Excess Baggage Company, Coindrum, Concessionaire Analyzer, Enterprise Holdings, Global Exchange, IDeas, Lagardère, Safebag, Stanley Robotics, Subway, World Duty Free and Yanu.

Further details on the conference agenda is due to follow.

KEFLAVÍK COMMERCIAL EXTENSION

As revealed exclusively by TRBusiness, state-owned Isavia will next year tender close to 9,000sq m of non-core duty free retail and F&B space at Iceland’s major aviation connector Keflavík International Airport, which served 8.8m passengers in 2017.

The tender falls in line with a significant expansion of the terminal and its main commercial hall, which is set to open in 2021/2022.
