Aelia DF and Relay crown Marseille Provence opening

RelayMarseille18Lagardère Travel Retail France and Marseille Provence Airport have inaugurated a new shopping environment at Terminal 1.

A 700sq m Aelia Duty Free ‘Next-Generation’ store located after security in Hall A is the pinnacle of a 2,000sq m renovation that aims to offer ‘a new gastronomy and Art de Vivre experience to international and Schengen passengers’.

Travellers will encounter a mix of iconic and prestigious brands such as Chanel, Dior, Victoria’s Secret, Rituals, Caudalie, Superdry, Château Gassier, and Caudalie, alongside engaging staff and services such as click & collect.

Meanwhile, a new 90sq m Relay news and convenience door features at boarding area 1, supporting double-fascia ‘combi-stores’ at landside in hall B.

These include a Relay-FNAC offer with a focus on innovation and comfort and an Air De Provence – La Cure Gourmand shop that echoes the provenance of Provence.

The 700sq m Aelia Duty Free store at Terminal 1, Hall A offers a strong mix of brands at a range of price points.

Elsewhere in Hall A, landside travellers can enjoy a 295sq m Relay-Casino convenience store, while domestic passengers in Hall B can shop and relax at Relay – L’Occitane en Provence.

“This longstanding project with Marseille Provence Airport confirms our common vision to reinvent the travel experience,” commented Vincent Romet, President, Lagardère Travel Retail France.

“These innovative concepts developed specifically for Marseille Provence Airport perfectly illustrate our shared ambition to satisfy and delight travellers every day.”

Marseille Provence Airport handled nine million passengers in 2017 and is France’s fourth largest airport in France in terms of passenger traffic.

Its target is to carry 11 million passengers by 2025, as it pumps €500m ($580m) into a major upgrade development named ‘Coueur d’Aéroport’.
