Aer Lingus pilots call off industrial action
By Doug Newhouse |
Management at Aer Lingus has welcomed the decision by pilots at the Irish airline today to call off planned industrial action for tomorrow and Wednesday that could have effectively grounded the carrier at Dublin and Cork airports.
The Irish Pilots’ Association (IALPA) has advised its members this afternoon that it is now suspending industrial action until the end of the month, following what appears to be a new deal forwarded by airline management.
While details have not yet been disclosed, the new offer will be put to a vote of IALPA members for their approval or otherwise in the next week.
