Alpha and Bijoux Terner

Alpha Retail reports that its 300sq ft Bijoux Terner women?s accessories store at Newcastle International Airport has performed very well in the two months that it has been open.
Bijoux Terner is a retail concept where everything in the store is priced at ?10.00 ($18.61). Reg Curtis, Managing Director of Alpha Retail, comments: ‘Initial trading figures are strong and passenger feedback on both the products and the ?10 price point has been extremely positive. The low price is also driving average spend upwards, with the majority of customers purchasing at least two items per visit.’
Alpha says it is so pleased with the introduction of the concept that it is going to follow the British passenger to its Orlando Airport duty free concession in the US and introduce a similar concept at its duty free shop there this summer, but this time with a price point of $10. Alpha says it is also in negotiations to open similar units in other airports in the UK.
