Giorgio Armani has opened another Emporio Armani store of 100sq m in Malpensa Airport Terminal 1's ‘Schengen’ area, offering the complete Emporio Armani lifestyle collection for men and women.

This includes formal and casual wear, sportswear, leather accessories, watches, eyewear, and jewellery collections. The company said in a statement: ‘Giorgio Armani, together with a team of in-house architects, designed the new store following the image of the recently opened Emporio Armani stores in London – Brompton Road and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport.
‘The flooring is made of black glossy ceramic; the walls feature black glass which contrast with a curved wall in shiny marmorino. the ceiling features black stainless steel panels. One large screen projecting the Spring/Summer 2007 collections dominates the entrance of the store.
‘Displays in black glass and minimalist furnitures finalize the environment. The overall impression is of modernity mixed with the essence of Emporio Armani in an unexpected and elegant way to create the perfect surrounding for the products.’The company adds that Malpensa Airport is one of the key locations included in the Armani group?s ongoing ‘Fast-track’ expansion programme in the duty free and travel retail marketplace.Emporio Armani has opened six free standing stores in the last three years at Rome (Fiumicino); Zurich; London Heathrow T3; DFS Galleria/Guam; Tokyo Narita Airport T1; Buenos Aires? Ezeiza/Interbaires; and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.
