BAA traffic hits 9.9m

BAA has reported that its seven UK airports handled a total of 9.9m passengers in February, an increase of 0.6% on February 2006.

European scheduled traffic was up 1.9%, and other long haul traffic grew by 6.3%, while European charter traffic fell 6%.
North Atlantic traffic dipped 0.9%. Gatwick Airport traffic grew by 2.8%, Southampton gained 9.1%, and Stansted was up by 3%, while Heathrow fell by 2%.
In the financial year to date (April 2006 to February 2007) Heathrow Airport handled 61.6m passengers (-0.4%); Gatwick 31.7m (+4.6%); Stansted 22m (+7.6%); Glasgow 8.2m (+0.3); Edinburgh 7.9m (+1.7%); Aberdeen 2.9m (+10.7%); and Southampton 1.7m (+4.4%).
