German skincare specialist Babor is sharpening its focus on younger travellers with a six-month Head of Gondola activation spotlighting its Doctor Babor Microbiomic range across major European airports.
The campaign is live at Frankfurt Airport, Berlin Brandenburg Airport, Hamburg Airport, Vienna International Airportand Antalya Airport, positioning the microbiome-focused skincare line in high-visibility beauty locations.
“Gen Z is an increasingly important target group for travel retail, and our Doctor Babor Microbiomic meets Gen Zs demands perfectly,” explains Lara Schlüter, Director Travel Retail at Babor. “This target group wants their products to be sustainable, to be products that are not just good for your skin, but also for your conscience.”
Doctor Babor Microbiomic is rooted in microbiomics research and formulated with up to 98% natural ingredients to support the skin’s microbiome while delivering high-performance results. The line sits within Babor’s wider skincare universe, which operates to ambitious formulation standards and places strong emphasis on sustainable packaging.
The brand also conducts a 360-degree environmental impact analysis for each product, working to reduce its footprint with every relaunch. Within the portfolio, Doctor Babor Microbiomic is positioned as the most advanced range in terms of sustainability.
By securing prominent Head of Gondola placements in key hubs, Babor aims to engage a digitally native generation that values science-led skincare alongside ethical production. The activation underlines a broader evolution in travel retail beauty, as brands adapt to more conscious, research-driven consumer expectations among younger passengers.
