Bacardi launches first global travel retail exclusive for Teeling Whiskey with WDF

Teeling-Whiskey-Explorer's-Edition-July-2019-leadBacardi Global Travel Retail has launched the first global travel retail exclusive product from Teeling Whiskey, with World Duty Free in the UK.

 

The Teeling Whiskey Explorers Edition Irish whiskey 12YO was launched on 3 July 2019 in a limited release of only 6000 bottles.

 

Teeling Master Distiller, Alex Chasko, has hand-selected a blend of 12 YO casks of malt and grain Irish whiskeys, with further maturation in ex cognac casks, renowned for their distinctive flavour and rich character. The whiskey is bottled at 46% with no chill filtration, a signature of all Teeling whiskeys.

 

Bacardi considers the Teeling exclusive – in a 70cl bottle gift pack, priced at £81.50 – a landmark launch that signifies the importance of the channel to the brand’s development on the global stage and ‘its growing appeal to an international audience of whiskey lovers’.

‘STRONG MOMENTUM’ BEHIND REVIVAL OF IRISH WHISKEY

Bacardi entered into a partnership with Teeling Whiskey in June 2017 to accelerate the brand’s distribution in key markets.  Outside the domestic US, global travel retail is the biggest market for the brand.

The launch will be highlighted on World Duty Free consumer media channels, reaching travellers at key touch-points on their journey through the airport, culminating in the opportunity for in-store tastings.
