Delhi and Mumbai sign off to private sector

The Indian Government has signed contracts with the two consortiums that won the ‘Operations, Maintenance and Development Agreements’ for the airports of Delhi and Mumbai two months ago.
Hyderabad-based Indian construction firm GMR Industries and Germany's Fraport won the Delhi business, while India's GVK group and the South African Airport Authority, won the contract for Mumbai Airport.
The government sold 74% stakes in both airports and the Airport Authority of India (AAI) retains a 26% share in both entities.
