Baltona upgrades Katowice

By Administrator |

Baltona has announced that it is to spend around PZ.3m ($1m) on upgrading and renovating three stores, while opening two new outlets at Katowice Airport, in southern Poland.

Baltona Vice President Grzegorz Dittrich said this work should be competed by the end of this year.
Last year the country's largest airport duty free operator increased sales by around 15% to the equivalent of $36m. This compares with the 2005 sales result of $34m.
Currently the operator is bidding on new retail space in the new terminal which is being constructed at Warsaw's Okecie Airport. This is expected to open around November of this year and Baltona is also planning to open another store at Rzeszow Airport in south east Poland in 2008.
