Cosmetic Executive Women UK (CEW UK) has announced the winners of its first official Beauty Awards at the Royal Opera House which was sponsored by World Duty Free in London this week.

This follows a Product Demonstration Evening which was held in February, where more than 300 members sampled over 100 beauty products from 50 leading brands and cast more than 2,900 votes for the best beauty products in each category.
The winners in their respective categories included the following: Classic Bodycare Product: Clarins UK Ltd – Body Treatment Oil – Tonic; New Bodycare Product: Elizabeth Arden – Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment; Classic Skincare Products: Clarins UK Ltd – Beauty Flash Balm; New Skincare Product: Chanel- Precision Hydramax + Serum; New Women's Fragrance: Coty Prestige – Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker; Innovative skincare product: Elemis Ltd – Pro-Collagen Wrinkle Smooth; New Suncare/Self Tan Product: Clarins UK Ltd – Radiance Plus Self Tanning Body Lotion;Classic makeup product: Chanel – Le Vernis Rouge Noir; New Makeup product: Pout – Bubble Gum Pout Plump; New Men's Fragrance: Parfums Christian Dior U.K. Ltd – Dior Homme; New men's grooming product: Elemis Ltd – Elemis S.O.S. While CEW says that the acceptance speeches thankfully did not reach Paltrow-esque proportions, it points to an Awards Ceremony that was ‘a great success’ with over 250 industry professionals attending.
‘We are thrilled with how well these awards have been accepted. The winning products have been chosen by the most knowledgeable women in the UK beauty industry. They know what makes a product great so there is no better endorsement than to win this award,’ said Caroline Neville, President of CEW (UK).
Mark Riches, Managing Director of World Duty Free and the main sponsor added: ‘We have a terrific cast of winners and are delighted for each of the brands. We will be supporting the ranges at our seven airports this summer and expect them to fly off the shelves’.
The winning collection will also be showcased by House of Fraser and Harrods. Meg Gilmore, Marketing Director of House of Fraser added: ‘I am so pleased that House of Fraser is involved with the CEW Beauty Awards. We will be bringing the winning products straight to the consumer through all 57 of our stores’.
The 500-strong membership of CEW (UK) includes executive women in the cosmetic, fragrance and hairdressing industries and related fields such as advertising, public relations, product development, marketing, media, finance, sales, retail, management and design and packaging.
Already a highly established award in the US for over 12 years, the CEW Beauty Awards aims to assist consumers, by selecting the best beauty products in the UK.
