Airport Holding Kft led by German construction company Hochtief AirPort GmbH is acquiring Budapest Airport for $2.57bn from BAA.
BAA acquired Budapest Airport in December 2005 for $2.59m but it has agreed to sell the airport as part of its new owners' core policy of concentrating on its UK airport interests.
Hochtief currently holds 49.6% in the consortium, followed by Caisse de Depot with 23.2%, GIC 23.2% and KfW-Ipex 4%.
