This is a global first for the well-known Irish confectionery brand, which was a double finalist at this year’s Travel Retail Awards, and it is fitting that the idea was launched in the company’s first travel retail location; Dublin Airport.

The new pick & mix gondola features in a new chocolate shop, which was recently opened by ARI in T2.

Butlers says it worked closely with the confectionery team in ARI in developing the idea and the chocolates which have been chosen, are based on the popularity of their flavours.

The loose chocolates are available to customers in two metallic gold pillow pack boxes.

The gift-boxes have been designed with ease of carrying in mind and will easily slip into a passenger’s laptop/hand bag, adds Butlers.

Aisling Walsh, Marketing Director, Butlers Chocolates, says: “We are so thrilled to launch this new format to enable our shoppers choose their very own favourites, whether that’s dark chocolate, salted caramels or white chocolates to name but a few.

“As ever, it was great to work with the team at ARI in bringing this idea to life and look forward to working with them over the coming months to develop it even further.”

Deirdre O’Carroll, Global Buying Manager for ARI adds: “Working with the Butlers team is always great fun and very productive.

“We are proud to have collaborated with Butlers to bring to life the first ever Butlers pick & mix as part of our incredible new Food & Confectionery store in T2 at Dublin Airport.

“Early sales indications and customer reactions have been very positive, and we are sure the concept will go from strength to strength.”
