Cadbury offers to buy Leaf

Confectionery giant Cadbury is said to have made an offer to acquire Leaf International, after the Scandinavian and Benelux confectionery company was put up for sale by private equity companies CVC Captial and Nordic

Capital which acquired the company in 2004 from Dutch Group CSM for around $1.2bn.

According to local media reports,several other companies are also interested in the Leaf business which is said to be worth around E.600m ($814m).
