Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG (Vienna Airport) cuts the ribbon.
Capi opened its very first branded electronics store at Vienna Airport last Sunday (December 17) to bring the number of airports where it is active to 11 and the total number airport shops within them to 36 worldwide.
This latest opening follows the announcement by Royal Capi-Lux Managing Director Peter Wiggers that the company had won the business last October [See link: https://www.trbusiness.com/regional-news/international/capi-adds-vienna-airport-to-its-new-store-portfolio/130421].
‘LEADING ELECTRONICS EXPERTS’
Commenting on the opening, Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG said: “Smartphones, tablets and similar technological gadgets are an essential part of our everyday life today, as well as when we are travelling.
“The latest trends and state-of-the-art products are now available at Vienna Airport from the new specialty electronics retailer Capi. It ranks as one of the world’s leading electronics experts at airports.”
Adding his comments, Peter Wiggers said: “We are very excited to be part of this exciting airport and to start our collaboration with Vienna Airport. The airport is an important hub for Central and Eastern European destinations taking into account its position in the centre of Europe.

Capi has 36 electronics shops operating within 11 airports around the world at present.
FAST OPENING AT VIENNA
“Thanks to the mix of expertise, experience and dedication of our project team, we have opened the store very quickly. This enables us to offer travellers an exciting shopping environment from day one.”
The Capi company says it is offering its latest innovations, plus special offers and ‘exciting gadgets and gifts’ on the company’s signature platform –‘The Gadget Table’ – plus a ‘pre-selection of fast-selling, best-reviewed products via Travellers Choice’.
It adds that The Gadget Table continues to be central focus of the store – as with all of the retailer’s outlets – which aims to catch passing traveller attention to the products that are on offer in-store and hopefully draw them in.

The company places an emphasis on one-to-one service wherever possible.
‘VALUABLE PROPOSITIONS’
Special Offer bins positioned at the store entrance also highlight the ‘valuable propositions’ Capi says it has created for travellers.
“These sharply-priced propositions are presented in volume to incite impulse buying behaviour. With the best brands and latest innovations, Capi will inspire and surprise travellers every day again.”
