Cloetta Global Travel Retail makes first play with Lagardère at Prague Airport

By Luke Barras-hill |

Confectionery supplier Cloetta Global Travel Retail has unveiled a permanent fixture for The Jelly Bean Factory at Prague’s Václav Havel Airport in a first-time collaboration with Lagardère Travel Retail.

The 12sq m display for The Jelly Bean Factory, which has recently undergone a brand refresh covering new flavours and a colourful and sustainable packaging design update, features a Prague-themed photobooth.

Travellers can discover the brand’s universe, including the latest items launched in 2022: travel bags in the Red Band range (Swedish Fish and Sour Suckers) and the company’s first travel retail exclusive product in the chocolate category, the Kex Travel Bag.

“The growth ambition of Cloetta Global Travel Retail, with a clear strategy to grow the sugar confectionery category and develop a global travel retail presence, was the driving force behind this first-ever collaboration of the two companies,” read a statement.

“Cloetta GTR hopes to extend the network of these branded spaces throughout Europe in the future and further progress its growth ambition.”

The Jelly Bean Factory is selling four new flavours – Cherry Blossom Soda, Peach Bubble Tea, Forest Fruits and Salted Caramel. Its packaging now uses paper instead of PVC for the tubes and cans.
